Meatloaf

I remember going to a party in my teens – the first party I remember that wasn’t a childrens’ party.  Meatloaf’s Bat out of Hell was on LOUD and I loved it … and have ever since.  He has such a powerful voice and the songs tell stories in a really great way.  Huge credit must also go to Jim Steinman, the muse behind so many of the hits.

For Meatloaf it’s more than the drive of the music, it’s also the lyrics.  Some of the lyrics from his greatest songs are reproduced on the Vid Digger blog.

NB I’ve linked music I like to introduce you to it.  If you like it, then please go out and buy the albums as there are more great tracks on them and the artists deserve their royalties … or download from somewhere like iTunes if you prefer.
